It's raining it's pouring.

When it rains it pours. Oh what a statement.
It has been a HARD two weeks for us.
First of all Brock caught Roseolla (the three day measles)
Then we found out we lost our second child
Then I had to have a D&C
During the D&C the resident anesthesiologist. Messed up while intubating me and I was unable to eat and really talk for four days.
Due to some really weird and crappy circumstances we are now a one car family. This could end up being a blessing, but it was a slap in the face during this extremely hard two weeks.
Brock got sick AGAIN with pink eye, and upper respiratory infection, and an ear infection.
The lady at target argued with me telling my insurance had been terminated while I was trying to get medicine for my son. Which it wasn't she just wasn't that bright.

This week we are starting fresh. We have fought so hard to find the hidden blessing in everything, which is almost impossible with the loss of a child. But we have survived. We have each other and our son. We WILL survive.

Baby Jaxon

Please take a moment and join me in prayer for Jaxon. Jaxon is my cousin's son who was born yesterday at 24 wks 3days. She had to have an emergency c-section due to her water breaking. He was born weighing 1lb 11oz. As of right now he is stable and fighting hard. He is reacting when touched, and trying to suckle. His skin is so thin they cannot hold him, but he has wrapped his little hand around his mom and dad's finger. My heart is so heavy for the journey they are going to have to endure, but I am so hopeful that our wonderful Lord and Savior will hear the cry of our hearts.

Where oh where can my baby be?

Looks up. Today is my baby's last "month birthday." If I am being honest I am kind of sad about it. I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. Everyone tells you how quickly it goes by, but you cannot truly understand it until you are living it.

It is pretty much a fact I don't have a baby anymore. He has been walking for almost 3 weeks. When I say walking, I mean walking. As in every where. He is also running now. He did the cute little baby waddle for all of 30 minutes (and this is not much of an stretch!) He follows me around the house and plays hide and go seek in the bedrooms by opening shutting door. He doesn't use the door knobs of course but he shuts it just enough that he can get his chubby little fingers to pry it back open.

He has not had a bottle in three days. He still drinks plenty of formula in a sippy cup throughout the day. He feeds every meal to himself with the exception of his morning yogurt. He says Momma, Dada, up, done, and yeah, although not on a regular basis yet. He is much more a walker than a talker. He is wearing 12 month clothes, but the silly boy can still fit is some 6-9 month onsies. I know he is a "big" boy, but he really is long and skinny.

He loves to give hugs and kisses. He has a monkey he carries around kissing all day. He LOVES to flirt by playing shy. He tucks his head into my chest and batts his eye lashes. He will not to go people he doesn't know well. People (family) always try to force him to come to them when he doesn't know who they are. I almost punched Claytons aunt the other day. It was the first time she had seen Brock in like 9 months. She literally tried prying him out of my arms. He was clinging to me and looked at me with the most terrified look in his eyes. I am sorry but no! I am not an overly protective momma, but I will not force him to go to someone he considers a stranger. .He is a momma's boy through and through. There are times he actually gets mad when Clayton gets him in the morning and not me. I think it upset Clayton and little, but I assured him the next one will more than likely be a daddy's boy/girl.

He is just a sweet natured little guy. He was even sharing the other day! I was very impressed.

My heart has grown by 100% in this last year. I am so blessed.

Birthday invitations

I ordered Brock's first birthday invitations today! I am excited to be planning his first birthday party, but sad at the same time. He has grown up so quickly. As a side note, yes, I know Little is misspelled, this is just the proof. It will not be printed that way. :o)

Prayers for Stellan

I know many of you probably read MckMamma's blog, but if you don't, could you please visit there this morning and lift up her little Stellan? He was admitted to the hospital last night with an increased heart rate, and this sweet little 4 month boy needs our prayers. The doctors need to get his heart rate to slow from the dangerously high rate it has been at for most of the night. Please check on the updates and pray for this baby.

Not me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Not me Monday is a great way to prove we are not all super mom! Come on, you know your not! Here are some things I would never do!

I would never stay up until 1:30 in the morning reading Harry Potter and The Half Blooded Prince. Actually having to talk myself into going to sleep, and not immediately picking up Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
Nope, not me.

Nor would I get my sons 1 year pictures taken when he is only 10 1/2 months old, and let him dig into a big cake.

Nope, not me.

Adding to that I would never expect said baby to come home and take a nap right after devouring said cake...

Nope, not me.

That felt nice! This may be a common thing around here!

Just one.

My happy pirate!

For now...

Upgraded to Pro status!

So apparently Brock made a liar out of me. I can officially call Brock a pro walker. He has been all over our house today. He'll walk to one place, turn around and walk to another. He has even caught is balance mid walk and kept going!
It is bitter sweet for me. I cannot believe how big he is, and how fast he has grown up. At the same time I am so unbelievably proud of him. There is nothing like watching your baby grow and flourish. He is amazing, and SO proud of himself. It is pretty cute to watch him.

On another note. I think I have pink eye. :o( I got sent home from work today. I have never had pink eye before and I really hope it doesn't turn out to be it...I really need to work this weekend!

Walking!

Get ready to turn your head sideways and watch my little man walk! He walked between me and daddy for about 30 minutes, and he has walked by himself a little bit today. I wouldn't call him a pro yet, but almost!

Kisses!

Brock and I were playing yesterday when he looked at me and started smacking his lips together. I didn't know what he was up to at first until he planted a big kiss on my cheek! He did it to daddy last night too!
He is such an amazing little boy. He is changing everyday. I cannot believe he is 10 months old. When did that happen? He stood by himself for a good minute this morning playing with his toys. He loves to "explore" the house now. He is just become such a little boy and not a baby. I am holding on with all I can to the tiny piece of his babyness I have left!
He is eating all table food now as well. If you bring anything pureed never him he just turns his face away. His favorite things are pancakes, mashed potatoes, and little pastas. He also really enjoys his yogurt in the morning, every bit consist of him opening his mouth really wide going "aaaahhhhh" and he finished that with a "mmmmm" when he gets the bite!
He babbles Dada all time, and Momma when he is upset or doesn't feel well. We are learning "up" right now he just reaches up and whines, so I say "up, up" and he repeats, "uuupppp" Its pretty cute. (even though it's not very clear and usually just outs like ppppp"
If you can't tell I am a proud momma. It is amazing how much I love him, and yet my love grows more and more each day.

Tiny steps!

Our little man is SO close to walking! I would not go as far to say he is walking yet, but his new favorite thing to do is walk from person to person! It is precious to see him wobbling every where! He is so proud of himself!
Pictures to come!

Sick baby :o(

Brock caught the virus thats been going around. My poor child catches EVERYTHING that goes around...which makes no sense. He's not in daycare and he is rarely around other children.
Anyway he went and saw his wonderful doctor today and as of now there is not much we can do for him. It breaks my heart to see him hurt, and all he wants to do is lay on my chest and cuddle. :o( Poor little guy.
Would you pray that Brock heals quickly and stays healed for at least a little while?

Silly boy!

I had to run some errands today and Brock was beginning to become quite the cranky little thing. That is until we showed up at my brothers house with my niece and nephew running around. He got so excited! He was squealing and giggling...making noises I had never heard him make. He was so happy to be around them and he adores Kaden. He will follow him around, pull up on him, play with his toys pretty much anything that gets him closer to him. And Kylie is such the mother hen to him, it is so cute to watch her baby him and love on him.
It was good to see my brother again too. I dont get to see him often b/c of his job.
Other than that not much happened today. Brock did much better in the nursery at church. He got moved up last week and had a very hard time transitioning to the older kids room. But this morning he had a really good time and played very hard the whole time. I am glad, last Sunday I couldn't get into the worship or serman thinking about my poor baby crying the whole time.
This week should be a good week. We are going to get a new bed frame! Ours was a hand-me-down and as much as I love it, it is old and needs to be replaced very badly.
Clayton is off the next two days so we should get some good family time in.
I hope you all have a blessed week. I am sure I will be back before the week is up!

Oldie but goodie!

In this video Brock was 5 months old. He was playing with daddy and giggling away!
He melts our hearts!

The ABC's of us

I have started and stopped about three blogs now. I don't know if this one will be the same. But, I really want a place where I can store the memories of raising our sweet son.
About our son. He is amazing. He is beyond anything I could have ever imagined when I would dream about having children. He is a blessing and has made us a family. We are so in love with him!
Right now he is 9 1/2 months old. Crawling, pulling up, crusing, and trying desporately to walk. I think he should take his time with this last one, but he has a different agenda.
As for Clayton and myself, we have been married almost three years, and together for seven. He is my best friend and soul mate. He is the most amazing father to our son, and you can see Brock's adoration for his daddy.
We are in a transition time in our lives. We finally feel we are "grown ups" and making some changes in our  lives. Clayton has begun his career and finally got a "dad car" Lol! Its a jeep liberty not a mini van. I still work very part time as a bartender, but that is so I can stay home with Brock. I love being a mostly stay at home mom. Brock is my heart and I love him with all of myself.
So in saying all of this I hope I keep up with this blog...and if not thats ok too.
